The American International School of Conakry is a private, coeducational school offering an educational program from pre-kindergarten through grade 12 for children from expatriate and host country families. The school was established in 1964. AISC operates on a semester system. Instructional periods are 50 minutes in length, and there are 180 days of instruction in the school year which runs from late August to mid-June.

School grounds are secure with 24 hour guard service. All classrooms, labs, and offices are air conditioned. There are 10 classrooms, an art room, a science lab, a library, two information technology labs, and office space for administration. The library and classrooms have computers with Internet access. Playground space includes a multi-purpose sport field and play areas.

The school follows an international curriculum from pre-kindergarten through grade 8. Grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 follow the University of Nebraska High School Program.

Specialists teach French, art, music, computer, and physical education. An English as a second language program is provided for students requiring assistance in their English language development.

AISC is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. It is also member of Council of International School (CIS) and Association of International School in Africa (AISA).
