The American International School of Conakry is located in Matam Lido, Corniche Sud, in Conakry, capital city of the Republic of Guinea.
AISC is a private, coeducational school offering an educational program from pre-kindergarten through grade 12 for children from expatriate and host country families. The school was established in 1964. AISC operates on a semester system. Instructional periods are 50 minutes in length, and there are 180 days of instruction in the school year which runs from late August to mid-June.
The school is housed on a 2 acre secure campus in two buildings. School grounds are secure with 24 hour guard service. All classrooms, labs, and offices are air conditioned. There are 10 classrooms, an art room, a science lab, a library, an information technology lab, and office space for administration. The library and classrooms have computers with Internet access. Playground space includes a multi-purpose sport field and play areas.
The school is fully air-conditioned and has its own generator. The school has playground equipment, a small sports fields and a well maintained swimming pool.
