High School
Welcome to the High School Section. At AISC, the high school is always a vibrant place to be! Much of the AISC High School program involves independent study correspondence courses from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with dedicated support given to students by AISC faculty. Students earn credits from the University of Nebraska which in turn allows them to attain a Diploma both from the University of Nebraska but also from AISC. The AISC Graduation Program also entails Physical Education and Service Learning credits being awarded to graduating students. This diploma then allows students the opportunity to enroll in colleges and universities throughout the world.
Through Service Learning, the school works at emphasizing each student’s role as a valued global citizen, our need to maintain a sustainable environment and the importance of upholding the school’s values of respect, responsibility and integrity. By emphasizing these core values, the school hopes to promote not only academic excellence and student performance, but also to instill in students the value of service to others and global-mindedness.
It is therefore safe to say that the overall AISC High School learning experience is designed to prepare students for successful post-secondary learning and living. Learning experiences are designed to bring relevance to what students see, experience and question within their world. In addition to rigorous academic courses, students participate in an extensive community service and activity program which aims to cultivate a sense of responsibility and commitment to their community and their world.
